Data protection

Everything we do with information about people, such as how we collect it and who we share it with, has to comply with the Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection regulation (GDPR). A key part of this is being open about how we use information and what rights you have in respect of information we hold about you. Privacy statement

The information which you give on this form will be processed by Angus Council for the purposes of processing your application for membership of Angus Local Access Forum. Your name and interests/areas of expertise will be copied to members of the forum and other candidates as part of the selection process. If you are appointed to the forum this information will also be made available on the council website and in committee reports, and your email address and phone number will be made available to other members of the forum. We will not share your contact details with anyone else. The information will be retained for the duration of your membership.

All of the information you give will be held securely by the council and will be treated as confidential except where the law requires us to disclose such information. Under the Data Protection Act 1998, you are entitled to access any of the personal information held about you by Angus Council. Applications for access should be made to the Director of Law and Administration, Angus Council, Angus House, Orchardbank Business Park, Forfar, DD8 1AN.
